Town of Manlius Recreation Supervisor, Kristine Zingaro, was honored last week at the New York State Recreation and Park Society (NYSRPS) Annual Awards Banquet.  She was the 2011 recipient of the “Frances Wallach Good Gal” Award.  This NYSRPS Award is given to an individual who is actively involved in the Society and in activities related to the field of leisure services as well as someone who has unselfishly contributed time, expertise, and effort to further the principles and goals of the field of leisure services.  Kristine was nominated by her peers in the recreation profession and had several letters of support from fellow recreation professionals, her staff and community leaders that she deals with.  Kristine fits the criteria for this award perfectly and this award is given to “an individual who lived well, laughed often, loved much and gained the respect of intelligent men and women and the love of children”.  Congratulations Kristine!
