Q: What is the Town of Manlius role in the Flood Hazard Mapping Program?
A: The Town of Manlius administers the Flood Hazard Mapping Program. If your property has been found to be in the flood zone by FEMA, even if the Town of Manlius determines that it is outside the flood zone, you must go to FEMA to be removed. FEMA will not remove you from the flood zone based on the fact it is the Town of Manlius's opinion that your property is outside the flood zone. You must provide the documentation that FEMA requests to be removed.
