Child Safety Seat Inspection Program
Studies show that more than
85% of car seats are installed incorrectly causing
injuries and/or deaths to our children in the event of an emergency stopping
incident and/or in the event of a car crash.
The Town of Manlius Police Department takes the safety of our children
seriously and has sent several members to the National Traffic Safety
Administration’s Child Seat Technical Training Course. If you have a child
passenger seat please take the time to contact us at 682-2212 to make an
appointment to have your seat(s) inspected. The service is open to residents
of the Town of Manlius and the Villages of Fayetteville, Manlius and Minoa.
There is no charge for the service.
Safety Seat Loaner Program
The Town of Manlius Police Benevolent Association (PBA) has provided several
child passenger safety seats that are available on a temporary basis for
residents of the community who are accommodating out of town family or guests.
The seats are available at Headquarters on a first come, first served basis.
Proper photo ID is required.
