Non-Sworn Positions
Non-sworn personnel are a valuable component of the Town of Manlius Police Department, and are utilized to support day to day operations. Our civilian support staff is an integral part of our team, enabling our sworn personnel to do their jobs more efficiently, effectively and safely.

The following non-sworn job classifications exist within the Town of Manlius Police Department.

Minimum qualifications for appointment to the above positions are established by the New York State Department of Civil Service. Basic minimum qualifications include:

  • U.S. Citizenship.
  • Valid NYS driver’s license.
  • Must be of good moral character with no conviction of a felony. Conviction of a misdemeanor or other offense, including traffic violation, may bar appointment.
  • Must successfully complete a polygraph examination prior to appointment.
