The Records Section is staffed by civilian personnel and provides customer service, clerical support and serves as the
central repository of all police reports and records.
Hours of operation are Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M. until 12:00 A.M., and Saturday’s and Sunday’s from 9:00 A.M. until 5:00 P.M. They are closed on legal holidays.

Copies of police reports are made available to the public in accordance with New York State Public Officers Law, Article 6, Section 87 (Freedom of Information Law). Requests for reports may be made in person during Records Section business hours or via US mail. There is a $0.25/page fee for copies of police reports. There is no charge for basic reports made directly available to a victim. Special media (e.g., photographs) will be charged based on the actual cost of reproduction. Mail requests must include a self-addressed stamped envelope with adequate postage. We are sorry, but we can not accommodate written requests or send records via facsimile.
The Town of Manlius Police Department will conduct local criminal history records checks of persons for adoption or employment purposes. These checks are of Town of Manlius Police Department records only and are not based on positive fingerprint identification. The subject individual must consent to the check utilizing the

The Records Section schedules appointments for criminal and civil fingerprinting as well as child safety seat inspections. You may also contact the Records Section to arrange for the loan of child safety seat or to arrange to have your home watched while you are away on vacation.
The Records Section is managed by a Front Officer Coordinator who reports to the Administration Division Commander.
