If you live in one of the Villages’ within the Town, you must contact your village office for specific
information on their brush program. For those enrolled in the Town of Manlius Brush District, please
click here to view the
collection schedule organized alphabetically by road. The service begins the first week of April and
continues every other week until the last week of December. Christmas trees only will be picked up twice
in January. Please see below for the Christmas tree pickup schedule. Please call the Trash and Brush
Coordinator at (315) 637-8815 if you would like to join the district.
How much does the service cost and how do I pay for it?
In 2008, the annual cost for brush removal for a residential property in the Town of Manlius is $26.00. The
charge appears on the January Town & County tax bill each year for the upcoming year.
Collection requirements are as follows:

You may put out any yard waste except dirt, rocks, stumps, and sod. Anything loose like leaves, grass
clippings, small branches or twigs must be contained in a biodegradable bag or in a rigid plastic
container (weighing less than 75 pounds full) that can be dumped out into the truck.

Limbs/branches need to be 5 feet or less in length, 3 inches in diameter or less, and must be bundled
and tied with string or twine, or placed in a container.

Please place containers outside of road pavement and any gutters so as not to obstruct traffic or
block drainage.

Collection schedule for 2008
Brush will be collected on your specified day, click here for a list by road, beginning on March 31, 2008 between
6 a.m. and 6 p.m. and ending on December 27, 2008. Brush pickup will be delayed one day for all pickups during
the weeks of the Memorial Day and Labor Day Holidays as well as Thanksgiving and Christmas Holidays for pickups
on Thursday and Friday only.
