The County and Town taxes are sent out the end of December and are due January 31st. This tax bill covers from January thru December of the current year. The School taxes are sent out the beginning of September with the due date varying from year to year depending on when they are mailed out. Thirty days are allowed for the collection. The School tax bill covers from July 1st of the current year thru June 30th of the next year.
County, Town and School Taxes for the town of Manlius are collected at the Receiver of Taxes Office, 301 Brooklea Dr. Fayetteville NY 13066 from January 2nd thru March 31st and September and October payable to Laura Peschel, Receiver of Taxes. After March 31st all delinquent payments are made to Onondaga County Chief Fiscal Officer, 421 Montgomery St, PO Box 1004, Syracuse NY 13201-1004.
Yes. The first partial payment may be any amount and must be paid on or before the due date. There may be four payments for County & Town taxes and three payments for School taxes. Each payment after the due date must include current penalties due, only on the tax amount being made. No partial payments may be accepted on properties with delinquent taxes, unless in a current installment agreement at the county. All payments made after the close of collection at the town have to be made in full at the county.
Yes, we accept US Postal postmarks, Fedex, Airborne, UPS, Brown and DHL. Mail postmarked with the due date is accepted. Metered mail DOES NOT constitute a postmark.
According to the current law it would be late as it could not be postmarked on the due date. Online banking gives the number of days it takes to process the payment. Leave enough days for the payment to be in the office on or before the due date as the envelopes do not come postmarked and are not accepted.
