Heather grew up in Fayetteville and graduated from F-M High School in 1995. She earned her undergraduate degree in politics from Mount Holyoke College and her master’s in negotiation and conflict resolution from Columbia University. Heather will apply her success in fundraising and grant-writing to help secure project investment to benefit our town and village partners. Heather serves on the Advisory Council of OCM BOCES Innovation Tech High School.
Heather is especially moved to serve to understand the experiences and needs of LGBTQIA youth in our community; prevent the spread of tick-borne diseases; ensure biking safety on our roads; promote safe firearm storage and accident prevention; and provide employment opportunities for people with disabilities. Heather lives in Fayetteville with her husband, Sterling Waters, their 8 year old son, Riley, and rescued pets: Kelly, Atlas, and Zelda.
